We are camping at Wolf Creek park this weekend, and leaving for Buckhorn Lake on Tuesday.

See you all when you get there.

The last 3 day record breaking freeze we had last month, I drained the water heater, water tank, & blew out the lines. Probably didn't need to, but I wanted to be ready for the Rally, & not have any surprises, with broken lines or valves, like my brother got.

Oh okay, I do that in the Winter if it is going to get really cold and we are not using the trailer. I thought you meant with the pink stuff in everything like the people up North do.

Joyce and I thank you for the get-well wishes.

Allof yourcomments about heading out gave me an idea that brightened an otherwise grey and threatening-to-snow day. Here's the plan: Joyce gets the pin out of her finger around April 5th. We shortly thereafter head out for Fruita, CO, Moab, UT (Arches, Canyonlands) and other near points where it's warm. We're then only 3-41/2 hours from home. On days she has follow-up appointments we leave the trailer, drive hometo see the doc, and drive back to the trailer next day. We salvaged a spring trip. We'll be outa the snow. What a concept. I made lemonade!! Have a great Rally!!

Russ sorry we are going to miss you. We were looking forward to meeting you and Joyce hopefully her recovery will be quick. Last time we were in Moab we took the road down to Potash and drove around into the settling ponds there is a road that tracks thru the ponds and up on to the Mesa. I believe about halfway up it is Dead Horse point across the valley. There were a lot of switch backs on the road we had to saw a couple times in the explorer but we enjoyed the ride. I don't know if you can drive that way anymore with all the clean up going on but have fun.

All this talk of leaving got Us to figuring. I called the resort today and asked if we can come a day early so we will be in Thursday night I believe. We brewed an Oatmeal Stout and Irish Cream Ale for the Rally. Hope Hoover likes them.

Eric & Diana-

We were looking forward to meeting you too!

Am familiar with the route you describe. Back in our tent camping days we pitched at Dead Horse and took the road in reverse order...down the Shaeffer Trail then left to Potash and on into Moab. Have also turned right and spent three nights runningthe White Rim Trail end to end, again tent camping. Really fun.

Will miss sampling your beer, but the Moab Brewery has some pretty good micros. Have personal experience that Hoover's not that particular.

Beer talk made me thirsty..I'm going to town to find a green beer in honor of the day.Edited by: coastn
