Be aware of how many amps each appliance requires. We blew the circuit using a smallchopper, a small juice machine and an electric heater. Some appliances require 20 amps but our 2008 Paradise PointTT only has 15 amp circuit breakers. RV manufacturers should upgrade the wiring in all units. The manufacturers should realize some people live intheir RVs for extended periods.

I forgot to add to my comment regarding appliances blowing the circuit breakers. We were not using all the appliances at the same time - only one at a time at different times. We had to take the appliance outside the trailer and plug it in to the outside outlet to get it to work.

Hi Everyone,
I'm so excited about my new "life" . The posts I have been reading have
not only been entertaining, but very informative.
I noticed that people take everything from electric griddles and frying pans
to Waffle irons. Might I suggest the George Foreman type grill. I have one
that the plates change and can be anything from a grill to a waffle iron to
a griddle. The removable/changeable plates can be washed in the sink with
out "scratching" (If you're careful)
Thanks Everyone.

Small electric heater. Why burn propane when you can use the campground electricity?
Crock pot/slow cooker. Hot Pot. The quart size. 19" HDTV. Portable DVD player. Outdoor lights. Dremel w/ attachments. So many uses.
On another forum a couple added a 15A circuit and ran the wire out to the rear bumper to plug into the CG 20A pedestal. Then they can run their electric heater with the other stuff.
The smaller the trailer the fewer things that are a "must".

Let's see, Pelonis 5-disc furnace for the early spring and late fall camping trips and I just purchased an electric skillet and love it! Picked up at Wally-world for about $35.00 I think, it has higher sides, a bunch of heat settings and a nice lid. Can cook all of the breakfast in one shot with this bad boy!!

 And we call it CAMPING!
Roughing it is the absence of a microwave oven.
I carry a long extension cord to plug into the 20 amp recepticle that mostcampsite power stands have and use a power strip to use most of the small appliances outdside.

i like the people on here that complain about others that have had a/c trouble. they say "your supposed to be camping, get outside of the trailer, go explore". well, i didnt pay $20k plus to sit outside, melting and swatting flies. plus the older i get, i recall doing quite a bit of exploring when i was younger, i think ive had enough exploring
just my 2 cents.....

We bought a portable ice maker that makes 27 lbs. per day. No more buying bags of ice for the ice chest.

We have one too... I would just like to figure a way to hook an automatic water line up to it and the outside faucet so I don't have to remember to fill it with water.

I keep and electric deep fryer outside for making french fries and chicken wings. I use the frying pan and toaster outside with an extension chord plugged into 20amp otherwise I would occasionally blow a circuit.

Found a new appliance to keep in the trailer... A pizza oven .. The stainless steel type they use in bars. I was awesome.. No stove to light, cooked the pizza perfectly in about 8mins. 10 mins with preheating the oven. It draws 13.3 amps, so one must be careful with the power.

I never thought of putting it in the oven... I like that idea. I'm sure if the SS housing was removed it would fit. Would the gas oven then become a electric oven???
