The next one is April 2024. Hopefully we will be around to see that one. It will run from Texas to Maine.

Curious when and where have you seen a total eclipse in the past?

I left Richmond at 11:30 PM Sunday night and drove to Madisonville, TN, south of Knoxville. I watched the eclipse from a park there. I left the park around 4:00 PM Monday and drove back to Richmond. I got home this morning just before 6:00 AM, really tired. Here are a couple of links to videos I posted on YouTube.

I saw the March 7, 1970 eclipse from Fort Story in Virginia Beach.
I saw the August 21, 2017 eclipse from Kefauver Park in Madisonville, TN.

I was in Richmond, the central location for the May 30, 1984 annular eclipse, but it was raining, so it only got dark.

That has to be the best video I have seen showing how quick it got dark. Didn't get that in Denver, we were only 92%. Still darn bright. Great job.

Super cool videos, thanks for sharing! In central Illinois, it seemed like a cloud passed over, wasn't too dark. I guess I expected more darkness at 93%.

https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/...970&type=solar

https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/...980&type=solar

https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/...990&type=solar

Was at Kentucky Lake for this one. The Totality was very cool. If you haven't experienced Totality, you should.

We did. Went to Guernsey State Park in Wyoming for 99.9%. It was impressive. I picked up a new telephoto lens and got some amazing pics. But photobucket's new policy has me looking for a new host.

Also first trip to try out my new LED interior lights, they worked great. Barely used any juice for the 3 day off the grid trip.

We ( 6 rigs total) went to SE Nebraska. No cell service so we had no idea were to go for a clear view of the sky we tried to watch thru the clouds :-(

The whole crew is planning for 2024.
