Caulking on our 5er is cracking in places, I have heard that I needed to remove the old caulk as the new sectlon will not adhere to the old?

If that isthe case, how did you remove the old caulk and did you only remove it to the trim? What cleaner did you use to clean up the caulked area that it was removed from?

You do not need to remove all the caulking unless the caulking is peeling. If it's just a hairline crack, caulk over it.

If you do need to remove it use mineral spirits on a rag and a plastic scrapper.

ProFlex RV is the best sealant or caulk you can buy for all parts except the rubber roof. Don't use silicone!! Won't last or adhere for long.
