Anyone every heard of this. Putting a ceramic tile in the oven to better distribute the heat in the oven. Someone told me this the other day just wondering if it actually works.
Janet uses a stone pizza pan. Same thing, but your method is probably less exspensive

pizza stone...put it in box it came in when traveling, as we had one that broke....probably one of the Pennsylvania pot holes did it in.Edited by: seabee
Hunter - what thickness are you using? We bought one last year and it broke while the oven was heating - talk about a loud bang! I have been debating replacing it or finding one of the small air bake cookie sheets. Thanks!
I don't really know how thick it is, maybe 1/4". Now the first one we had did break but it was glazed. The one we have now is three years old but is unglazed. That might have had something to do with it.

We use a 13 inch pizza pan that we got fom Pampered Chef. Have had it for three years. I haven't even taken it out of the oven when traveling. Seems to ride okay.
