RE: 2012, CF-305-SK...
I want to hang some pictures in various locations in my RV but would not be happy if I nicked some electrical cables. How do I confirm before drilling I won't damage anything?
My concern is now focused on the outside wall on my way up the stairs to the bathroom and bedroom, and between the windows in the dinette/lvg. room slide near the light....
I've tried velcrow tape & the heat detaches them from the wall, as the tape stays on the frames....
I used plastic anchors with a screw for all the DW's pictures. The walls are no more 1/4" thick, measure 1/4 from bottom of the drill bit and wrap tape around the bit so when drilling you dont go any further than it is thick. Just make sure you are not in a stud so the anchor will hold in plywood, I havent had any come down or strip out.
There are many electric circuit tracers available also and many of the tick tracer types are not very expensive. I would also not drill any deeper than the paneling to be on the safe side.
Do not use velcro. i just replaced a peice of paneling because the previous owner velcro'd and screwed a picture to the wall. As carefull as I could be, it still ruined the paneling when I removed the picture.
