We just purchased a pre-owned (OK, used) 2006 Zinger 32BH. The unit is in excellent condition, but the awning has been previously removed (and discarded) because it was damaged. I'm a complete newbie with travel trailers, but good with tools. I do much of my own home and vehicle repair. With that background:

1) Any suggestions on a replacement brand?
2) Is this a job that I can tackle myself (with a friend or two)?
3) Any other general advice?

As long as the awning rail is undamaged and the arm mounting locations, it is not a difficult job, but you do need extra helpers that are comfortable working on ladders. I have done several installs over the years. There are only two brands, A&E and Carefree of Colorado. I like Carefree, but the best choice is probably to use the same brand that was on the unit originally. Check and double check the awning length needed, or make the dealer be responsible for getting the order right, awning rails are always longer than the actual awning.
