I purchased a 2011 CrossRoads Cruiser 305SKFD on 8/9/2011. Of course when I was at the dealers, they seemed like they were in a hurry to get us out of there. I live in Iowa and bought in Michigan. I bought out of state because the dealer a couple of hours from me upset me, went in to price a camper he's had on lot since last year, told him to give me his best shot, he lowered the price $300 from what he quoted last year, then when I got home I happened to look on ebay and he had same camper listed on ebay $1000 lower with a buy it now price than what he offered it to me, so he did himself out of a sale! I told him I don't play games you have one shot, give me your best price.

When I arrived in Minneapolis, MN, turned the scare light on one evening, now it will not go off. Not even going down the road, so it's draining my battery if I don't leave it plugged in. I have one other major issue that needs fixed and have called CrossRoads but so far no return phone calls. I emailed the service department today as well, we'll see if I get any response from that either. So far service has not been a good thing for me!

Has anyone had the scare light go on and not back off again? I keep wondering if there's another switch I have flipped and need to turn it off some where else, but so far can not find it! Either that or the switch has broken already.

Should be one switch for each scare light. Sounds like you have a bad switch on that light. You can either replace the switch yourself (not hard) or pull the bulb until you get the dealer to fix it to keep from running your battery down.

To get you going simply pop the cover off the switch, remove the two screws, pull the switches out and remove the wire (only one wire on the plug). Put electrical tape over the plug and also tape it up so it won't get lost in the wall. Put everything back and have your dealer send a new switch. When you rplace the switch it has a clip on the top and bottom that you squeese and push the switsh out the front and then put the new one in and replace the wire plugs.

Are you going to take the bulb out? The switch is just inside the door.

Is there a 12v fuse on the Cruiser that could be removed to kill power to that? If so it might be easier than taking the switch apart or removing the bulb.

I have a 2011 335SS with the same problem. I have even taken the switch completely out and the light still won't go out. Any thoughts?

Rmondey...If you physically removed the switch and the light is still on then I would suggest you got the wrong switch.

I'm going back this weekend and i'll double check if I pulled the right switch. I'm pretty sure i pulled the correct one. There is only 1 scare light. It worked fine for the first couple months i used it. I'm thinking may be there is a short somewhere but there are no blown fuses. I keep it at the coast and i really don't won't to have to drag it to the dealer if it is something simple. thanks

If you have a remote, use that to shut off and itshouldsolve the problem.

Yeah, the remote caught me . If you turn it on with the remote you can't turn it off with the switch.

Where on the remote is it? I don't see anything for lights on mine.

I did do this as well. I turned the awning recepticle (misspelled) off, then I was able to toggle my scare light on/off! That problem seems to be solved for me now. I was playing with my remote too, but did not see any where that I had lights on it?

i do have a remote and i was using it the day it came on. I haven't seen the light control on the remote, i'll check it out when i get there. Thanks. I would think as much experience as i have with remotes i would have noticed it.

Did the same thing, accidently turned on the scare light using the remote and it won't go off unless the bulb is removed (even if you disconnect the wires from the switch). Only way to turn it off is with the remote. The button looks sorta like a "power-on" button, but close on close inspection it resembles a light bulb.

beat me to it...was going to suggest that as well.

Even if the switch is off, the remote can override it...learned that one after I drank a few crown and cokes.
