Stereo wiring

Hey all
We bought our Zinger 26ks three years ago. The original owner had crossed the wires when hooking up the battery.

The only problem with have now with the electrical is our stereo won’t work (linear am/fm).

We tried buying a replacement but it won’t work either. It keeps blowing the fuse.

Just to double check - the solid white wires are the ground and the black&white are the hot??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Black/white when in the presence of a white = hot.

I'm guessing something is up somewhere else. A voltage meter would help.

Do you have a VOM? If not get a cheap one on Amazon or Harbor Freight and check the voltage there. Connect the red meter lead to the White with black tracer and the black meter lead to the white if correct it should read + 12.? if it reads - 12.? then the white and white with black tracer are backwards. Start there and see what you get. Usually when the battery is connected backwards it just blows the fuse on the radio but it is pre owned so who knowes the original owner did. Let us know what you find.
