Tires for CF-305-SKP?

I had a blowout of the front drivers side tire this fall. Fortunately the other axle kept the rim from contacting the pavement as we drove several miles before a guy motioned us over. We then drove another 4 miles to a rest stop, with the 4 ways running, so we didn't have to deal with the problem on the freeway.

I'm in the market for new tires and would like to hear from other people about brands that they have had good luck with, also the recommended ratings for the tires?
