Why would you want to ? It will probably last longer than today's high tech sealers.

Of course the problem may be your aim, getting it in the seam

I've always usedhot soapy water to removetree sapfrom vehicles and it has worked well. I'm just not sure if the hot water will do anything to the rubber roof. I would hope the roof material can withstand a little hot water.
