Smile G'day from the new guy from DownUnder!

G'day All,

Newbie here from Downunder. Not sure if anyone has old rigs on here? Mine's a 2012 Cruiser CF30SK-AU. Only 17 Cruisers were imported. Live, work and play out of it fulltime for over 2 years now. I'm 193cm (6ft 4inch) so the wobble-box caravans with low ceilings weren't for me, hence my ownership of a big American fiver!!

Fiver's have never really caught on here, probably because Aussies are just too damn lazy to put a decent hitch on or buy a proper tow for it! I have a Chev Silverado 2500 to pull this rig, and it does it easily, so would never buy a caravan!!

Love the spaciousness and everything about it! Just here to get tips and tricks from fellow members that might have a similar model.

Welcome to the forum! You have a 5th wheel that was imported from the US. I live in the U.S. and have a car that was imported from Australia. I have a 2016 Chevy SS, the export version of the Holden Commodore VF. It was built at the Holden plant in Elizabeth, South Australia.

Hi Davis. The Commodore is Australia’s best selling car so hopefully you’ll enjoy it as much as us Aussies do. I’m really enjoying the big Chev with its Allison transmission & the extra comforts you get in trucks these days. New ones are horrendously expensive with import duties & conversion to right hand drives.

Nice EnglandGaz - having a dually! I use my Chev as a daily driver too! Yes, I’ve gotten quite use to the lifestyle and convenience of different workplaces, so gotta thank covid I guess for that option for my work. I live in South Australia down in the beautiful South East
