Post Hello from fl!

Recently purchased a Crossroads Sunset Trail 253RB. Traveling from FL to New England for a few months.

One question - does anyone know how far the slide extends out? We had a slide topper installed and we THINK that the slide is not extending fully as the interior of the slide does not go flush against the wall. Would appreciate and input that anyone
can provide.

Thank you!

Don’t know how far out in inches but if it’s not going flush against the wall inside then it’s not extending all the way. I would unhook the topper and see what the slide does. You may be correct that the topper that was installed wasn’t the correct length.

I'm thinking if it was the topper, the force of the slide would either rip the awning or tear it off the wall.

Not necessarily. Doesn’t take much force to stop it.

I would be careful if you decide to disconnect the slide topper I believe they are spring loaded...

Contact whoever installed the slide topper and tell them your dilemma. Maybe it can be returned for one that expands farther out.

Our 2017 254RB is sitting in the drive with the slide extended. We do not have a slide topper. As measured from the wall of the camper to the outside edge of the slide flange it's 32 3/4 ". Consistent from top to bottom.
