Hi there. I purchased a ST31QB in Dec, and am starting to get excited to take it out of storage and put it to use soon. I'm sure my family will have many adventures getting used to the RV experience.

We're towing it with an 06 Expedition. It towed fine on the 12+ hour drive from the dealer (found an amazing deal, good enough to drive that far!). I'm slightly more nervous about towing with 2 young kids in the back to disctract me, but I'm sure it will be fine.

Anyway, see you all around.

Welcome to the Forum Family! Have fun! If you need to you can always put up plexiglass between the front seat and the kids...

Pleco, Congrats and Welcome to the forum. I take it from your statement about the kids that maybe this is your 1st RV. Best advice I can think of is to Take It Slow! ST(trailer tires) are speed rated for 65 mph max; nothing says you can't drive 55-60. Don't be in a rush and the little distractions don't seem to distract as much.

Good Luck and great camping.

Welcome to the forum and the family. I've tow with kids in the back seat all of the time. Mine are now 11, 5, and 2.The one thing I found is to keep them occupied. I have a portable DVD player that hangs between the front seats and we take plenty of movies. Each one picks out some at home and then they take turns so that one does not get to watch all of theirs first. I also have them take other things (nintendo DS, books, etc.) so if they don't want to watch a particular movie, they have another option.

I echo what cobra909 said. I get in the right lane and stay there at 60-65 MPH. Nohurrys, no worries.Slower helps with the MPG as well.

Selective hearing works for me, don't hear the kids but can hear the DW.

Congrats on your new rig.
Chin up----spring WILL come!! Enjoy the new rig, and the travels with the kids will be just fine. Enjoy that also, because they grow up awful fast, and before you know it----It will be just a memory.
