First trip out

Well finally we get to take our toy hauler out! Got the WD hitch all set today. First time dealing with one and got it right first shot. Going to load up the toys in the morning and head for the hills. Going to check out an old ghost town called Teller city up by Gould Colorado, just outside of Walden. First of many adventures in our new toy.

Congratulations and enjoy! As a note, I always try to be slow, methodical, and constantly double-checking each step of the way through the whole hitching/unhitching process. Try not to be in a hurry, or distracted. (Easy to say when you're not trying to get going on a rainy morning!)

Yes, I'm interested in your thoughts on the toy hauler. I really like mine so far, now that I have a TV that will properly handle the tongue weight. The 252 tows well, and I haven't had any sway issues so far with an empty deck. I think the worst part for me is the length...at just under 40', you really have to pay attention when cornering and picking routes through town. But I really am liking the outside deck...even without the atvs, it's great to be able to throw a ladder, some bikes, and whatever else on it...
Hope you have a great time this weekend!

Well it was a great time. With the Reese SC WD hitch there was absolutely zero sway on the roads. I should have gotten a toyhauler a long time ago. Really made life simple. Weather was perfect and trails were fantastic. Had moose walking through camp a few times, which I was not used to. Never camped in moose area so we were way cautious. Only glitch with trailer happened morning we were leaving. Water stopped pumping to the bathroom sink. Used it all weekend, so it was in working order. Will be draining tanks tomorrow, then going over it tomorrow evening to find results. Has to be something simple. Other than that.....we love our unit!!

The issue with the bathroom sink was simple. Gunk got caught in the screen at the faucet. All back to working condition. Will be loading pics tonight, then posting a couple.
