Anderson Weight Distribution Hitch

I have towed my camper ~6000# with several tow vehicles (multiple F150's, 2 different 1500 Rams, and even a 2500 Yukon XL). No matter what I tow it with I have the same issue. Using a Fastway e2 Weight Distribution hitch.

When a tractor-trailer passes me on the highway it pulls the camper towards it. I was looking into the Anderson Weight Distribution hitch and it seems to have mixed reviews. My current tow vehicle is a 2018 F150 my camper is well under the truck's 12,000# max tow limit. Has anyone used the Anderson and if so has it eliminated the sway when being passed by a tractor-trailer? Will I notice any improvement if I replace my Fastway with the Anderson?

I see you have a toy hauler. Is it possible you have to much weight in the back, and not enough on the tongue? Have you run your rig across a scale to see where you have the weight displaced in your trailer? You should have at least 10% on the hitch/tongue.
Also, when you have the trailer hooked to the truck, everything should set level.

You have a sway control problem. These integrated sway controls on weight distribution set-ups are notorious for malfunction. The trailer loading, tongue weight, and alignment of tow vehicle to trailer is critical. Might I suggest adding a friction sway control such as this...

10% tongue weight is the bare minimum. I ran in the 13% range with my 2013 Zinger ZT260BH pulling with my 2013 1500 Silverado.

I loved my Fastway hitch, watched a transport blown into the other lane ahead of me, I didn't even cross the center line! Mine had the solid bars, no chains. As others have said, setup is important, tongue weight is critical and the friction surface must not be lubricated! No sway on any road surface in any conditions.

I’m not 100%, and those of you may be more informed than I, but here is my thoughts. Riding a motorcycle produces the same effect when meeting a semi, or for that matter a large trailer, it sucks you in to the point that I now move over to the right side of the lane when meeting one. I believe it has to do with a low pressure area due to the air wing forced to move around the front of the semi as sit rolls down the highway, it is prevalent as the 2 units immediately go past each other. Similarly when a semi rolls up behind you there is a push. Again I believe this is air pressure due to the air having to move out of the way, which results on the low pressure area. I fell both of these on a bike at highway speeds as well as in my truck, pulling an 8000+ lb trailer with slightly more than 10% hitch weight with a Blue Ox equi hitch . All this is IMHO.

a big rig pulling a large trailer displaces plenty of air so it's hard not to feel one going by. towing our 6000# 28' trailer with ram 1500 laramie 4x4 ccsb 5.7 I felt them go by and also had some jostling from strong cross winds but nothing scary. I used a Husky centerline wdh with the 800# bars. I also added a stiffer sway bar and I ran more air in the tires when towing to stiffen everything up. now we have a cr28rd and tow it with a ram 2500 6.7 cummins. stiffer setup but still affected a little by semi's.
