On our first outing with the new 5er we noticed a loud whistle coming from the general vicinity of the trailer. It scared us at first as it sounded like a bearing going out or something bad like that. The wind was blowing pretty good from the side and I was traveling about 40 MPH but I slowed down about five miles an hour and it went away. Later on it came back but this time at about 60 MPH. It only lasted for about two or three minutes and then it quit.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Never heard a whistle, but then again we usually travel with the windows up and a/c or heat on. I would suspect it was just wind. Next time your at an oasis / wayside listen to the cars and trucks passing by and you'll hear all sorts of tones.
We pulled a 26' Dutchman 5er before we got our 30SK and never heard a sound. We have a louvered tailgate but it's never made a sound before. There was nothing unusual in the back of the truck bed. So I think it has to be the new 30SK but can't imagine what it would be. That's why I asked the question, something new and different. Not a big deal since I don't believe it's something catastrophic like a bearing going out, but curious.

Could be a window or bath vent (either fan opening or roof black tank vent cap) leaking. If it gets out of hand you could put someone inside the rig and tow for a short distance on a safe road. Not exactly legal but a whistle all the time would drive me nuts.
