We have a new 2010 CF30SK with the sofa andthe air mattress. Although that sounded like a great idea, we have discovered it is a huge pain to have guests over and to endure the process of setting up and taking down the bed. Therefore, we want to buy a light sofa bed that easily folds down. Since our trailer is now inaccessible due to snow I wonder if someone in warmer climes might take the outside dimensions of the sofa for me?

The next question would be, has anyone tried to move the sofa out the door and does it fit through?

Thanksso much.

Jim

We looked into getting a new sofa bed. I believe it WILL fit through the door.We never found one the right size. Like everything else it is a smaller size than standard. I looked all over and could not find one to fit the space. Please post is you do find one. Mine is an '07 so the size may be different than an '10. If you want my measurements anyway, let me know and I will check.

We got the sleeper sofa out of our old Cruiser and I want to say the back came off which made it easier. If not it did come out but check the back just to make sure.

Yep, the back slides up and off. If you take the drawer out, it's lighter yet. We took ours out and got an double high inflatable bed that works lots better than the sofa and air mattress. We bought an Intel queen size. Stores easily as the aire pump is built in and also reverses to flatten it out. Sleeps good and is out of the way. Ours will fit either all on the slide with the chairs moved to the opposite side of the table. Or from the slide wall out toward the door, with lots of room to get around.

We do have a "this end up" love seat in the stick house that would work in the 5er. I think the company makes a sleeper, but don't know the size or cost.

Stan, I would appreciate your sofa dimensions please, if not too much trouble.

Thanks very much.

We have 2010 CTX29RL. The sofa has the following dimensions: 62 1/2L x 35D x 38H. We just had company for a week and I agree the air mattress is a pain plus ours had a slow leak which we were unable to find. The dealer will replace it.

Jim..Our jack-knife sofa measures 64"L, 36"D and 35"H. I can't open it up as the slides are in and no power. Hope this helps.

Jim,

The back comes off your sofa, and it comes out in two pieces. Should not be an issue. We relaced with a LazyBoy which also has a removable back and it fit through the door as well.

Good luck with your replacement.
