We are in the process of buying our first 5th wheel; a 2005 Cruiser CF29RK. We've noticed most 5th wheels of this style have the shower open to the bedroom. After taking a shower is there a problem with the steam getting on the bedding, walls, etc. to the point it causes problems? Or, does the vent fans in bedroom take care of problem? If there is a problem, how do you take care of it? Thanks in advance, Roy

Every camper that we have owned had a vent fan specifically for venting the bath/ shower area. Not just for the steam issue, but also the toilet.

We haven't had any problem with steam on anything. Our camper dosen't have a fan in the bedroom, only living room and toilet room, but I have never seen a problem with that. We keep the vent in the beed room covered with a vent plug to keep light out and the worst thing about the shower in the bedroom is the sky lite over the shower. It makes the beedroom very lite very early. I have taken a plastic poster board and velcro and put over the sky lite. This cut the lite a lot.

I've been known to fog the mirrors in the bedroom occasionally, but it's never caused any problems. X2 on the light from the sky lite, but I just use that as my signal that it's time to get up.

I have a fantastic fan in the bathroom, when we shower I always leave the stool room door open and leave the fan on, and we have never had a moisture problem, I have all the fans covered on the roof, the fan in the bathroom has never been closed, we keep the lid open all year, never had any water or snow get in, while the unit is in storage we keep the lid on the bathroom fan open and the bathroom door is open, keeps all the moisture out and the air moving...

We had one like that with the shower enclosurenext to the bed, put a fantastic fan in over the bed, never had a moisture problem, also great for keeping the bed area cool.

I always turn on the fan in the bathroom and leave the door open, which pulls out the moisture.

Depending on the outside weather will determine which fan I use. Hot summer night / day the fan-sta-tic over the bed, cold cool spring fall night / day the fan over over toliet. We also have MaxxAir II on all vent covers, which stay open when we aren't using the 5er.
