Awning led strip fell off
2018 zinger 328sb light strip broke and fell completely off the awning. Dealer says you have to replace the awning. Anyone deal with this issue before?

You have to replace a $1500,+/- awning due to a $10 strip of LEDs????
The first thing you need to do is find someone else, anyone else, to do work on your RV, that dealer is an idiot.
I'm not sure how the LEDs are attached, either stuck on or slid into one of the grooves on the tube, but highly doubtful an awning replacement is necessary.
I'm sure someone with the same RV will chime in, but don't order the awning yet.

Can you take a picture of your awning where the led strip was?

Led strips are all stuck on with back to back tape like a carpet tape. Just take off and add a 3/8"strip of tape and stick back on. They will eventually burn out so I just let them burn . They still work but only half light up, Dont waste time putting new ones on as they are all junk.

If you decide to replace them, I would mount them under the awing roll. You can connect them to the wire that runs down the awning arm. Just pull it out and connect. The two sided tape is 3m automotive tape. Extra sticky so it won't let the leds fall off.
There are good sets of light out there, just got to google them and see what's available.

Hi, I have the same model RV. The dealer is saying you have to replace the awning because the LED lights are actually sewn to the awning. I'll post a photo. I wouldn't spend that kinda of money though and would go with plan "B" like adhesive or something.

Can't tell much by the photo, but seems if the lights are sewn on & falling off that would mean the stitching has deteriorated & fabric may be coming loose as well, if so the entire awning wouldn't need replaced just the fabric ($200+/- depending on length), either to be resewn or replaced minus the lights.
Don't think I've ever seen those lights sewn onto the awning?

Sewn into awning? Think your dealer made that one up, normally lights are stuck to tube. Might be wrong?

Never heard of or ever seen the lights sewed into the awning. Check it out. It may be double sided tape that holds the lights on to the tube.

Yes, sewn on, lol
I didn't write the original post but, I have the same RV. If you click on and look closely at my photo it shows that the plastic strip containing the LED lights is sewn to the awning...

I asked the OP that same question. Never knew the light strip to be sewn to the fabric.

Same issue with stitched into awning LED strip. Just started to fail in the last day or two. Gonna pick up some 3M Auto double sided tape to repair. Only concern will be moisture seeping through stitch holes in awning adversely effecting the tapes integrity over time.

3M tapes comes in different types. Makes sure you buy the automotive type that is water proof.
