I suspect that he has Joyce in training as a Lumber Jack, at camp driveway lighting struck at least one tree and maybe more. So think he has been supervising the removal of that debries by Joyce. The other thing is he is planning how to get out of the high country in time for the Texas Rally

We're alive and well! Been a busy summer removing approx. 80 beetle killed lodgepole pines from our lot (plus picking up the "tree debris" from a 40 foot exploded lightning struck spruce). Looks good...now the spruce have room to grow and are a much prettier tree anyway. Our whole neighborhood has pitched in with removing dead trees as part of a Firewise Program with our county. Fire's a real threat up here with all the beetle kill.

As far as a plan to get out of the snow next spring, we're usually on the road in March..plenty of time to get to the Rally this year.

Sounds like you are getting your winter supply of firewood. Camp driveway must have a different look now.
Looking forward to finally meeting you, plus a lot of the other guys.

Hmmm...we can take a winery tour and inquire about grape stomping in Grand Junction when we camp at Fruita in October. Maybe it'll be harvest time? John Justman, do you know?

You probably should leave your shorts at home. They say the lows by the morning of 15th could be in the 20s.

They must have heard at the weather station there was a "Southern Boy" headed up this way. Now they state our lows will be in the 30s with some scattered high 20s. Down where you will be camped in the banana belt, low temps probably 40s and 50s.
Pack light.

Speaking of white stuff, Frank, it rained last night here in Ridgeway and the high mountains to the south had a dusting of the stuff. Will probably be gone by this afternoon, but it still sent the shivers through me. I don't have the shovels duct-taped up yet (yes, another use for the wonder product).

You need to be very careful this year, you do not need to damage Joyce again. After all is she not going to demo how to make wine???????????

We'll be too late for the wine festival. You'll have to settle for the TV commercial. "What's in your wallet"?

Ok Lloyd get ready two days to go before I head that way. Check the long range weather forecast, shorts are out for this southern boy and will bring a light jacket. At least you will not have any of that white stuff for me

Ok Lloyd I survied your 38 degree nights and 50 degree days. It was not fun since the furnace did not run. Call the furnace people, and they said they do not work on oil burnners any more. Told them it was only ten years old and has never been run they said they would change it over to gas (Right) that would be really expensive. How is hunting going, Dove this week end hello 410
