Downhill with a tailwind, a chip and never putting your foot on the accelerator.

My 2001 would get that, But the 2005 would get 24 on the highway, my 2007 with the 6.7 will get 21.7 on the highway, and 12 towing at 65 mph

I know...but I have seen it on the info "thing". Rural driving. Not sure of the specs or year, but it is a 2500. I have asked how could that possibly be right but said he has verified it?

Well, went to look at the ram today. It was ok and for the right price we would have bought it but the dealership didn't want our business bad enough to wheel and deal on a 2013, so we walked. Oh and it's lie o meter of a gas gauge read 13 mpg for fuel mileage. Gonna go talk to the chevy dealership tomorrow.

Aileen.....Sometimes we think we will get the best deal on the previous years model (2013), but did you get a price on the 2014? All the incentive cash and rebates are on the current models. You may actually get a better deal on the 2014. Pick the model you like and have the salesman work a little and give you priceing on both the 2013 and the 2014. Oh and I forgot to say, when they ask you what you are tradeing in the answer is NOTHING. That way you are getting a true price on the truck you are buying.

You are probably aware of all this stuff. You have always put me in mind of someone who is always well informed and does their homework. I have a daughter your age so this was written in the spirit of fatherly advice.

Good Luck with your continueing search.

Frank.....The only dealer I know in my area that deals with fleet vehicles is Kerbeck GMC, Chevy, and they are all 1500's. How would I go about finding the fleet folks in my area.

This is good advice. Once you get to the bottom dollar, then ask about trade in. And, do your research on your trade in value before hand.

Tommy most large, and midsize dealerships have a fleet Department. The retail boys try to keep them hidden. These guys are on a different type of pay plan. Call up the brand of your choice and ask to talk to the Fleet Department or Commercial department. All most they all have been to Added manufacture's schools and know what real numbers are, and will spec out the proper unit for you.

Frank..... Now I see what you are talking about. The dealer I mentioned a few posts ago has something they call "brown hat". He gets GMC executive slightly used cars and trucks and resells them under blue book with a full warranty. That is completely different than what you were talking about.

Yest it is, in fact these were the first of the program cars. Later the program cars and trucks included off lease, and returns from the rental car companies

We are probably going with the chevy. We are in the process of working a deal on a 3500 Duramax. We had one that we thought was it but turned out it was missing something we wanted so now they are back to the drawing board trying to find us the truck we want.

I don't know how you found out about the bumper stickers, but yes I am in the process of haveing some made for the rally. Mark made a logo up, it's the same one on my lead post. Mark had to send something to the graphics guy. I have said it before I am not a computer guy so had to rely on Mark for some help with it. Can't wait to see everyone.

Aileen
How is the truck hunting going???
