Torque Spec on Metal Valve Stems

I'm installing metal valve stems as I install new tires. I'll be installing
the "Tymate Tire Pressure Monitoring System for RV Trailers" once those new valve stems are installed.

My aluminum rims are 15". I got to thinking about how much to torque the new valve stems to avoid crushing the rubber seal or not torqueing sufficient and the seal fail.

Anybody looked into this and have any insight?

I found this article that looks informative:

When I had new tires put on, the tire dealer installed the new metal stems. I didn't have to worry about what they needed to be torqued to.
So far---no leaks.

I finished my 2000 mile trip and made it home. Here are some notes related to new tires,, TPMS and metal valve stems.

I email myself a lot of notes on topics so it's easy to keep track of stuff.
WOW, what a great relief to be able to monitor tire pressure while driving.

Metal*Valve*Stems: I think the metal helps conduct heat to the temp sensor.Install with a 7/16" thin walled socketVintage Parts 312002 Stainless Steel Bolt-in*Valve*Stem*https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...ustomerReviews

Metal*Valve*Stems: Vintage Parts 312002 Stainless Steel Bolt-in*Valve*Stem*- I installed "Tymate Tire Pressure Monitoring System for RV Trailer" on my travel trailer.* They recommended metal*valve*stems.* I think partly for stability but also metal*stems*will better conduct temperature to the the TPMS temperature sensor. * These worked well.* My rims are 15" aluminum and the*valve*stems*set in a shallow recess.* The metal washer on these*stems*is small enough to fit into that recess.* I torqued the 7/16" nut to about 5 ft lbs.* That's enough torque to crush the rubber seal down to about .07" from the original .25" and provide the seal.
These*stems*have these measurements.
The widest part of the tapered rubber seal is .54"
The metal washer is .580" in diameter
The nut is .61" tall.
The threaded*stem*protrudes .65" above the nut AFTER *the nut is tightened.
Overall, the*stem*protrudes 1.20" from the rim after installation.
- There's plenty of threads left to install the TPMS rubber seal, brass nut and TPMS sensor after this*stem*is installed.
According to a web site I located, these are rated to 100psi.* I have no idea if that's true.* I have them inflated to 80 psi and they've been holding for the past week that I've had them installed.
I installed these*stems*at the same time I had new tires installed at*Walmart.*
*Walmart*would NOT install these for me (they only install new rubber*stems).* Fortunately I had brought a 7/16" socket and torque wrench with me.* They removed my old tires from the rims, gave me the rims and I installed these*stems*and gave the rims back to them. *
- Not as important to me - these look nice. They are very shiny silver plated brass*stems.* The metal cap has a rubber seal in the top.
I gave it 4 stars because the description does not provide near enough information to inform a purchaser.

Hope this helps someone.
